Two men accused of participating in a fight at a downtown bar that left a bouncer injured have been charged in Olmsted County District Court.

Collin Lee Kelley, 28, made his first appearance Tuesday on one count each of third-degree assault and fifth-degree assault-two or more previous convictions in three years, both felonies.

His brother, Ryan Ernest Kelley, 25, faces identical charges. His first court appearance has not been set.

The charges stem from an incident Saturday night, when the brothers allegedly began to pick a fight with a bouncer who was escorting them out of Kathy's Pub on South Broadway.

Collin Kelley is accused of assaulting the man, then kicking him in the head, the police report says.

The Kelley brothers and a third man ran east toward the government center, the report says; the Kelleys were arrested near there. The third man was not arrested.

Collin Kelley remains in custody in lieu of $20,000 bond; his next court date has been set for July 8.
